Our story
Since 2015 Umuduri Band Initiative Organization has tried to make a difference. The ideas of mutual aid between human beings and peacebuilding through art are the cornerstones of our NGO.
The current challenges urge us to act together without shying away from the risks. Umuduri Band Initiative Organization is born from the desire to inspire and support the community, but above all, it arises from the need to act.
Our mission
The only weapons we use in spreading our message are musical notes. Umuduri Band Initiative Organization rejects violence to solve social conflicts and sees music as a powerful tool to unite people.
We aim to give a chance to those in need and, above all, children and refugees to develop their artistic talent.
Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that our organisation believes "everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits".
